Connect Lodgify to your guest guide
By GuestsBoard
Connect Lodgify to bring property and booking details into your GuestsBoard guest guide.
Does GuestsBoard work with Lodgify?
Hosts with Lodgify Public API access can connect using their own API key with read and write access. GuestsBoard stores the key encrypted, imports properties and bookings, and registers booking notifications automatically. Lodgify account access and fees are separate from your GuestsBoard subscription.
1. Find your Public API key
Open Settings → Public API in Lodgify. Follow Lodgify's current API documentation for account access and authorization details. Enter the API key only in the GuestsBoard dashboard, never in email or support chat.
2. Review properties and subscription impact
Connecting imports accessible properties automatically. Newly created GuestsBoard properties can increase subscription quantity and result in prorated charges. Review your property list and per-property pricing before connecting.
3. Connect in GuestsBoard
Open Settings → Integrations → Lodgify, enter your API key, and select Connect Lodgify. The connection shows Setting up until automatic webhook registration and the first import succeed. Existing house-guide content is preserved when a matching unlinked property is adopted.
4. Check timezone and arrival times
Imported properties initially use GuestsBoard's default timezone and check-in and checkout times. Open each property in the editor and set the correct values before relying on personalized welcomes. Then compare a known booking's guest name, dates, and property with Lodgify and check the actual display.
Do I need to register webhooks?
No. GuestsBoard registers six signed booking callbacks automatically. Authenticated notifications queue a sync, and a recovery import runs every 15 minutes. Test a booking change and cancellation to confirm the right guestbook updates. Internet access and provider delays affect when changes appear.
If setup or updates need attention
Review the error in Settings → Integrations. Confirm API access remains active and the key has the required permissions. Imports have a 5,000-record limit per collection and a 90-second budget; larger accounts should contact support before onboarding. A failed import shows an error instead of saving a partial reservation update.
What happens when I disconnect?
Disconnect in GuestsBoard before revoking the Lodgify key. GuestsBoard removes only its own six callbacks, then deletes stored connection credentials. Keep the key active until cleanup finishes. If access was revoked, restore it in Lodgify or contact support for cleanup before removing the connection.
Imported properties and reservations remain and stop syncing. Review retained bookings before the next arrival. Wi-Fi details, house instructions, and recommendations can still be maintained directly in GuestsBoard.
