Connect Guesty to your guest guide
By GuestsBoard
Connect your Guesty account to bring guest names and stay details into your property guide, with automatic booking updates.
Does GuestsBoard work with Guesty?
Yes. Hosts with Guesty Open API access can connect their account in GuestsBoard using a Client ID and Client Secret. GuestsBoard imports active listings and recent or upcoming bookings, then registers a webhook automatically to keep guest names and stay details current. Your Guesty account must support Open API access.
1. Create your Guesty credentials
In Guesty, open Integrations and find OAuth Applications (under Developer tools in some navigation layouts). Create an application for GuestsBoard and securely save its Client ID and Client Secret. Guesty only shows the secret when it is created. Follow Guesty's authentication instructions for the current account steps.
Use Open API credentials, not Booking Engine API credentials or your Guesty password. This follows Guesty's non-marketplace app connection method; GuestsBoard does not claim Guesty marketplace partnership. If these options are missing, confirm Open API eligibility with Guesty.
2. Connect in GuestsBoard
Connecting imports all active listings from this Guesty account. Newly created GuestsBoard properties can increase your subscription quantity and result in prorated charges. Review your listings and per-property pricing before connecting.
Open your GuestsBoard dashboard and go to Settings → Integrations → Guesty. Enter the Client ID and Client Secret, then connect. Enter credentials only in the dashboard, never in email or support chat. GuestsBoard stores them encrypted and handles access-token renewal.
3. Check the first import
The connection sets up its webhook and imports listings and bookings. Larger accounts may need several sync passes. Once connected, check that each listing matches the correct property and compare a known booking's guest name, dates, and property timezone with Guesty. View the welcome on your actual display before using it for arriving guests.
Your existing house instructions, recommendations, and custom content stay under your control. Automatic property mapping is managed by the connection; disconnect before changing those mappings manually.
Do I need to register a webhook?
No. GuestsBoard creates its own callback in Guesty and verifies signed notifications for booking, listing, and guest-profile changes. It also runs a recovery sync every 15 minutes. Notifications queue a sync; internet access and provider rate limits affect when changes appear. Check a booking change and cancellation after setup to confirm the connection works for your account.
If setup or updates need attention
Review the status and error shown in Settings → Integrations. Confirm Open API access and that the credentials are still active. Failed authentication attempts may wait up to six hours before retrying to respect Guesty's token limits; repeatedly reconnecting does not remove that wait. Contact support with the error description and property name, excluding credentials and unnecessary guest details.
What happens when I disconnect?
Disconnect from GuestsBoard before revoking the Guesty application. GuestsBoard removes its own webhook and stored connection credentials. Imported properties and reservations remain, but stop syncing. Review the retained bookings and welcome message before the next stay. If you already revoked access, contact support to complete webhook cleanup.
Can I use GuestsBoard without Guesty?
Yes. Reservation sync is optional. You can maintain Wi-Fi details, house guides, local recommendations, and a general welcome directly in GuestsBoard. Your Guesty subscription and required API access are separate from your GuestsBoard subscription.
